Amirah is currently head instructor of Mirage Bellydancers, a Purdue Organization. She teaches beginner through advanced lessons in both Cabaret and Tribal styles. Her instruction focuses on learning both artistry and technique, while creating an open and fun learning environment.

Amirah approaches teaching from technical and conceptual standpoints. She teaches both muscular and skeletal methods of moving the body, while emphasizing proper posture and isolation. Muscle control is the key to sharp, purposeful moves, as well as slow snaky moves, thus she focuses on this philosophy in her tribal fusion lessons. Musicality is another major concept Amirah focuses on in her instruction. Her philosophy is that musicality is the connection between movement technique and the expression of the art form.
